CLIL History propone sette moduli riguardanti altrettanti argomenti di storia del Novecento e contemporanea. Ogni modulo presenta la stessa struttura: attività che permettono di recuperare ciò che già si conosce e di presentare il nuovo argomento (Warm up); un Brainstorming da svolgere in coppia per riflettere su quello che già si conosce e quello che si vorrebbe apprendere sull’argomento; attività finalizzate a sviluppare abilità di listening, reading, speaking e writing (Input e Materials). In ogni modulo si trova anche un’attività basata su fonti storiche (Primary Source). Tutti gli esercizi e le strategie didattiche usate nei moduli sono finalizzati all’attività finale legata alla scheda Civics, che offre spunti di riflessione sulla contemporaneità, a partire dal tema storico trattato nel modulo.

MODULO 6 The End of the Cold War After WWII Europe lost its central position in the international context, and the USA and the USSR emerged as the two superpowers. Despite their great political, economic and cultural differences, the two countries had fought against Nazism and Fascism together. However, when the war ended, tensions between the two countries quickly grew and gave rise to a period of hostile competition known as the Cold War. It lasted for more than four decades and between 1989 and 1991 it ended with the collapse of the Communist bloc.
